Feature Focus: Address Auto-complete

Address Auto-complete and Validation

This June, we released the latest update to our Contacts module, featuring the brand-new address auto-complete feature. As all our modules work together, this means the new feature is available on all of our Modular System products: ConNote, Payroll, Bookings – just to name a few!

Why auto-complete addresses?

Addresses are one of the most common pieces of information you will encounter in any form of business – any order you place or ship, any database of customers or stakeholders, and for those in the transport and logistics industry, every consignment of goods – each of these needs at least one address, perhaps several. Manually copying or entering the data is susceptible to human errors, whether at your end or at the source.

Address auto-complete provides a guarantee that the entered information is valid, eliminating errors and providing peace of mind that data on file is accurate.
As the feature is entirely opt-in, there are no surprises – everything will continue to work the way it used to. To enable the feature, contact us and we’ll provide you with a license key for the service and walk you through how to use the feature.

What does this mean for me?

Once the service is enabled on your system, auto-complete for contacts information is available for all Modular System packages. Other modules will be updated to include the feature as we continue to improve our software. In the meantime, if you need auto-complete on a particular field, let us know! There’s always a real person on the other end of the phone at Logical Developments, and we’re always looking for ways to make our clients’ days better.

For ConNote users, this means confidence that pickup and delivery addresses actually exist – no more guesswork or typos, just reliable data for your drivers to work from. And for deliveries to mine sites and other exceptions, don’t worry: the address field still works as a standard entry field.
